I bought this lantern looking to replace the glass only for an existing lantern. Alas, the glass lantern did not fit my existing lantern so I returned this one. I bought these in copper to go behind new knobs purchased for a flat-pack buffet and a cabinet that my husband and I put together. The backplates along with the knobs really dress up the buffet and cabinet and look special. I didn’t know you could actually buy backplates before looking on Wayfair, and I think these have a more contemporary design compared to a lot of other more traditional designs. Good quality and they were easy to add behind the knobs. I have included photos of the new knobs with and without the backplates.. Carolyn. Novi, MI. Sat Mar 06 2021

Originally made to encase the light of a flickering flame, lanterns were first designed for function, not fashion. Today, they incorporate both. Take this one for example: Brimming with coastal appeal, this metal design features turned to detail and a cage-inspired accent, lending an industrial touch to your ensemble. Glass shade diffuses light from any medium-base bulb up to 100 W (not included), while a wet location rating makes it the perfect pick for brightening up your outdoor arrangement.

There was a cultural movement that idealized rural living, seeking cleaner, quieter, and less congested spaces. Many saw rural areas as a place of simplicity, natural beauty, and personal freedom. This view was popularized by literature, art, and media, which depicted the countryside as a restorative retreat from the challenges of modern urban life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the color of this back plate unfortunately it was a little long for the cabinet space that I had however, we are getting some custom-made cabinets made for our pantry and have used a new layout to be able to add this back plate for a designable look. I’m really excited for when it’s ready and will update with a new picture. I have used other back plates from Americk and they are easy to work with very fashionable and layer as well with other knobs.! i’m actually really excited for the link now as I feel it’s going to give a dramatic look and I am very excited for that!.
