I needed a light fixture in my modified A-Frame that didn't have any place to put a conventional fixture. I fabricated my own mounting system and wired a cord, which was exactly what I expected. It came with a nice ceiling mount, but I was unable to use it because I didn't have an electrical box to screw it into. The lights are somewhat adjustable, which is a nice feature.
