Very nice looking handrail that we are proud to have as part of the "curb appeal" of our home. It doesn't scream "handicapped handrail," but it's very useful for our elderly relatives, including my mother, who is approaching 300 lbs. It is extremely sturdy, and I don't worry about her using it. I took off one star because the hardware that comes with the handrail is not stainless steel (which really can't be expected at this price point.) If we had used the original hardware, it would have eventually stained the handrail with rust. This will work great in our new home. These high cabinets are about 96 inches up and the 1st shelf is about 105 inches up. I’m 5’4” and can reach the top. It’s sturdy and looks nice for an “indoor” ladder. The wood paint on the metal ladder looks great. I knocked off a star because it had a ding on one of the steps right out of the box.
