I bought two of these, but could only use one. There is an extra wire on this wall control, unlike the current control. The Minka Aire fan wiring was not set up for this, or so we thought. My electricians installed 9 of these into our new house with Spitfire Fanimation fans so that we wouldn't need to mount remotes on our walls. I select this switch option because we do not have light kits with our fans. No issues with install but I find the the lowest setting on the switch is still really fast. It seems like there needed to be at least another one or two lower speed settings on these switches. Way better than the previous generation of Modern Forms fan remotes! It takes AAA batteries instead of the button cell batteries that required you to break the case open!
