Made from high-tensile steel and finished with a durable black powder coating, this gate offers excellent resistance to rust, abrasion, and corrosion, helping prevent fading and peeling even after long-term exposure to sun and rain.

Reminder: Please measure before purchasing to ensure proper fit. Important: Do not cut off the rolled strip before installation is complete! As a busy parent and pet owner, I was worried about my toddler crawling onto the stairs or my puppy darting through doorways. This pressure-mounted gate solved it all! Made of thick steel with 2-inch spacing, it securely blocks pets—tested to hold 180 lbs. The 180° two-way door opens automatically: under 90°, it swings shut; at 90°, it stays open. I can easily carry groceries and open it one-handed. The door width is adjustable, ranging from 29 to 109 inches, suitable for every different opening where you need a door sill. The double-lock keeps kids safe but lets adults open quickly. Best part? No drilling—I installed it without damaging walls.

Used this to keep my dogs out of the front seat of my motor home. Couldn’t find anything made for that, but this works fine! I love that it has a gate so I can get in the back easily.. Linda. West Haven, UT. Fri Oct 02 2026

Please be sure measure your opening prior to purchase to ensure proper fit. Do not cut zip ties before setup! Keeping my curious pup away from the kitchen while balancing groceries used to be a daily struggle—until I found this gate. The beautiful arched design doesn’t just look like an eyesore; it actually complements my home decor! Whether I’m navigating the stairs or heading out to the porch, the auto-close feature is a lifesaver. I love that I can set it up without drilling holes in my walls, and that extra-tall barrier finally stopped my dog from trying to jump over. It’s the perfect blend of peace of mind and effortless style.

The Cardinal Gates Step Over Pet Gate is the perfect solution for small pet containment. This freestanding gate has bar spacing's of 2.25” and is designed for small breeds, non-jumpers, and puppies. At 20" tall, this gate is the perfect height for you to step over, yet keeps your pet contained. It is adjustable and able to close off openings from 28" to 51.75”. Multiple 22” extension panels can be added to increase the maximum width of this gate (model SGX, sold separately). It features solid wood construction and is easy to set up with minimal assembly necessary. The included rubber-bottomed feet protect your floors while adding stability. This gate is intended for indoor use only and all necessary assembly hardware is included in the box, no wall mounting necessary. Available in Natural, Walnut, and White.

READ ME! I was a little stumped by the assembly of this gate, but once I figured it out (with NO help to the included instructions or video), I really do like it. Upon receipt when you unscrew the two main pieces of the gate, keep an eye out for 4 small square nuts that may fall out of the grooves. After you determine the size needed, these nuts are essential to hold the two gate pieces together. The video and instructions make it seem like you just simply fasten the screws into the grooves on top and bottom. Well, you do, but if you screw only into the grooves - without the square nuts - there is nothing to catch the screws, and thus, you will be unsuccessful. If you are luckier than me, and your nuts don't fall out of the grooves and go missing for a few days, you need to know that the nuts can be moved back and forth inside the grooves depending on the size you want. Use these nuts to secure your screws, and you'll be golden! I have two small dogs (up to 9 pounds each), and I chose this gate because it is adjustable to any size you wish, and it has feet (rather than needing to be secured to a wall). The feet can be placed along the bottom at any desired location (or you can opt not to use them at all). I chose to screw them in the bottom (but you don't need to) because it gave my gate added stability, and seeing how I plan to move the gate to other locations, this way I don't have to worry about the legs falling off during the moves. The feet have rubber pads at the bottom which help them stay in place on the hard floor. If you're looking for a gate where you wish to increase/decrease the size often to let dogs through, this isn't the gate for you as that would be a bit cumbersome with screwing/unscrewing; however, if you want a gate that sits at a certain size and can be stepped over or easily moved, this is perfect! I am 5'4" and can easily step over the gate, but my small dogs cannot get over/through it. I hope this review helps!. Theresa. Sun Prairie, WI. Fri Dec 06 2019

We love our pets, but sometimes there are areas in the home that are off-limits, whether it's because you're applying a fresh coat of paint to the master suite walls or hosting friends in the living room for a lively fete. This pet gate limits Fido's access to certain parts of the house without compromising on style! Crafted from solid wood, it features a double-jointed hinge system that allows you to fold it in both directions and set it up in almost any doorway.
