Aqua…..beautiful…..wish they offered samples. I Had to buy a box….absolutely fell in LOVE!!! Then sent the box back and ordered 6 more boxes for my project, so they would all be the same dye lot. I was so excited…..Well, I was sent a completely different tile. Not even close to the stunning color of the actual first box sent to me. Very disappointing nonetheless ! We were Inspired by Guastavino's exquisite tile arch when we create our Guastavino tile Collection; Guastavino was a Spanish architect and builder. Based on the Catalan vaults he created the Guastavino tile, a "Tile Arch System" patented in the United States in 1885 and used for constructing robust, self-supporting arches and architectural vaults using interlocking terracotta tiles and layers of mortar. Guastavino tile is found in some of New York's most prominent Beaux-Arts landmarks and in major buildings across the United States. It is used in a huge number of architecturally important and famous buildings with vaulted spaces. Guastavino was not the principal architect for most of the projects.

I know that Wayfair gets this from some other vendor, likely, but product came damaged; 90% of the tile had a white chalky substance on it and a good 10% to 20% of the tiles were broken. Ignore the mess, we’re still in the middle of a full renovation. I was a little nervous (okay a lot of nervous) when I opened the box and saw how big they actually are. But all the designer magazines say to always go bigger and this has been a 3 year process and I would’ve put pebbles from the road up if it meant we’d be done already anyways, my husband is finishing the tiles as we speak they are definitely thinner than more expensive tiles and we were nervous about that while glueing yesterday, especially the thin pieces, we were already planning on a few breaking after we grout. However by this morning, the tiles we were worried about, are no longer wiggling and I have full faith in them!
