The holes for the nail on the table top were filled with some wood substance plugs. That would be fine, except the grain in the wood plugs is contrary to the grain of the table top. In person, this table is even nicer than I imagined. We loved the unique color combination. Definitely more grey than blue as annother byer indicated. But, we were ready for that. Its hard to find a dining table of a narrower width like this one. This feature made our table the perfect match for our space. I took off a star because I feel the table top has a bit of a wobble.
