No electrician available to install so I had to have my daughter hold it up and then remover her from the photo, and it is HEAVY so she did great for a 14 year old. I loooove this fan. The wood blades are so beautiful. The wood tone matches my beams pretty well which was a nice surprise. The fan is well crafted and I'm so pleased that it has a light. The light portion and the fan blades were very easy to install. The instructions are clear and it comes with extra hardware which is always so helpful. My favorite things about it are the fact that the wood grain sort of lines up on the fan blades and the hardware is really nice even though it's not showing. This is a beautiful desk and very unique. It is incredibly sturdy. It provides a ton of work space without taking up a lot of space since you can tuck one part under the other. It requires minimal assembly. I wasn't impressed with the swivel part of this desk. For such a high quality desk, a wooden dowel holds the tops onto the base. I feel like there should have been more thought put into that. It swivels fine but the bottom desk section has scratches on it already from it rubbing together when you swivel it. Before I say anything about this fan let me tell you to get a 4” junction box and not the standard 3.5” in most homes. Just save yourself the time and get ahead of that! The fan was easy to put up. After doing it I would only change one thing. I would take out the screws for the blades before getting the fan 15 feet up in the air. You’ll save your shoulders from the burn! The fan pushed a good amount of air and is super quiet! I also appreciate all of the extra parts for multiple installation scenarios. I want to love this so so much! It was easy to install and other than being tedious work to hang the crystals they were easy. It looks absolutely gorgeous, however as you can see, I did not expect that the room would be so dark above the light, I also did not realize the rest of the room would have the broken light pattern on it. I have never owned a chandelier so I was unaware of these effects. For those reasons I dropped a star off. But the fan is so awesome on this light and the light it gives to the floor is excellent as well. I also do not like that the remote for this light is black. The fan works great & the light is a cool added touch! It can get pretty bright, enough to light up the whole 14 x 20 gazebo we have it under.
