Well this piece I think was package pretty well FedEx couldnt damage it which is good thing. My opinion the overall quality of the material used was not of the best that could have been used probably in my opinion but the veneer on it is very thin. Not a fan of the camlock system thats used to hold it together it just leaves unsightly the locks and everything inside the drugs and stuff its just to me it doesnt look very good but overall if its someone needs something its not a bad piece to have.. The package still arrived with a little damage but the dresser was in great conduction and we loved it! *Original* This dresser arrived very damaged! I have reached out to Wayfair and they forwarded my return request to the manufacturer. Personally I think it was damaged in transit but there were chips in the paint on most of the drawers so maybe not. I would have just touched it up with some paint but then while unpacking it I noticed huge damage to one of the side drawers that would make it impossible to assemble. Much of the Styrofoam packaging was crumbled and getting all over the place which made it all the more infuriating as I had spent an hour slowly unpacking and wiping down the pieces. Excellent dresser! The colors were a bit darker than the reference image (I got oak). Still gorgeous! The dresser is mostly acacia with some rubberwood. Very heavy, very durable, very high quality. Usually, dressers have an MDF back, even super expensive ones, but not this one! Solid wood, through and through. The drawers aren't huge, but they're totally usable. I also liked the full color instruction booklet! The bolts and screws come vacuum sealed on these small, flat cardboard panels, all clearly labeled, and provide far more hardware than necessary! For those who struggle with assembly: just pay close attention to the booklet. It's very clear and well-labeled. The pieces themselves are labeled too. The package arrives in a big, rectangular cardboard box that weighs about 130 lbs. Since the pieces are packed so well, there wasn't a single scratch on the entire thing! A lot of thought clearly went into it. I noticed some other reviewers complaining about the camlock hole placement and the drawer alignment. It's a skill issue. First of all, the head of the camlock pins need to be positioned correctly in the camlock holes. If the pins are too deep or too shallow in the hole, the camlock won't catch. You can easily use a screwdriver to adjust the depth of the pins, and readjust as necessary as you assemble it. Just make sure you tighten them past the friction until they stop, and no further, otherwise you'll bend the camlock or even break the wood. Certainly no power tools. Second of all, on each of the drawer rails there's a little star-shaped metal piece that you can twist to align the drawers so they don't scrape against each other or the frame.. Marco.
