It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. I got this for a WFH office setup to put books/etc inside and a small TV on top. It fits a maximum of a 32 inch TV along the top. This console looks great in person! I think the off-white wood is beautiful and the quality seems pretty good so far (no dents, wood doesn't look fake, cabinets open and close smoothly). I didn't really care for the knobs it came with, but they were easy to replace. It is a small stand--I squeezed a 55" TV on it, but the TV does overhang the console slightly, so if that bothers you then I'd stick to a 50" TV or smaller.
