Perfect modern farmhouse style for my trimmed out wall. The clock is wrought hands, and a real piece of stained wood. The clock hands are flimsy and were bent in shipping but we were able to bend them straight. The hands are a shiny type of metal and bronze in color…and surprisingly work well with the overall design. I found another clock online that I preferred but no way I was going to spend $700. A few things to point out: the color of the wooden border of this clock was almost a blonde natural finish when I unpackaged it, it seems (based on the review photos,) that the finish fluctuates. I actually had some dark walnut stain that I applied to darken it up, prior to this fix, it was so blonde that it seemed it hadn’t even been stained at all. But more importantly, as others have noted, the number 4 in Roman Numerals is NOT depicted accurately on this clock. All of the other numbers are, so it’s rather strange that the designer made this flaw. Also, because the primary color of the metal framing and numbers on the clock is black, the hands (which are also black) blend in to the clock, so it’s often quite hard to see them. I will likely need to lightly brush the tips of each hand with gold paint to make them stand out. Lastly, other reviewers note that the clock is silent, mine is not, it has a distinctive ticking. You can definitely hear it from across the room. I’m rating it four stars for its light hanging weight and it’s large size. A star off for the number error and the loud ticking.. Jennifer. Looks nice. Good quality. Make sure you measure before ordering because it is bigger than it looks in the photos. It only has a single hook to hang from so it’s hard to get it to hang straight. I ended up using a drywall anchor at the top, adding plastic feet around the back, and a small finishing nail at the bottom to keep it straight.. Mark. Mclean, VA. Wed Apr 29 2026
