There is a vent on the floor in my entry and because of the wood slats in the shelves I was able to set it over the vent without blocking the airflow. The bench is not very wide, so it doesn’t stick out into my entry, but it’s wide enough to sit on and bend over to put on shoes. My husband has large feet and his shoes. Don’t stick out from the shelves. (Although one shoe in the photo is not pushed all the way in, so it appears to stick out) I was so surprised to realize how well the fabric matches my walls! The storage bench is cute, and fit in my space perfectly. I like the color a lot. Unfortunately it came damaged at the top corner, which of course is showing in an obvious place, couldn't be in a place that isn't showing, right? Wayfair offered a discount, but that doesn't fix it. The pad on top is fine, the material of the cover is very thin and flimsy, kind of like a very light linen. Can easily change it if I can find the right size. We have a shoeless house so this small benchshoe organizer is perfect without being in the way. It would hold 8 pairs of my size 7 shoes or 6 of my BFs size 10.5. Only his flip flops will fit on top (my sneakers and low heels fit fine). High heels or don’t fit here and I doubt men’s size 11 or larger would fit. The cushion is loose and optional. We will likely add an adhesive if we don’t swap out. I addd contact paper inside to help with wear and tear.
