Beautiful cabinet with one major complaint. The bottom of the 4 legs the cabinet stands on have round metal pads screwed into them. Our cabinet stands on a hardwood floor. We had to remove the 4 metal pads when we unpacked the cabinet. We replaced the metal pads with round, felt pads with adhesive on them. These pads allow us to sllide the cabinet without scratching our wooden floor. We've installed these pads on numerous pieces of furniture to protect the floor. However, no other furniture required us to unscrew metal pads like the pads on the buffet cabinet. So, in my opinion, the metal pads are a poor design related factor. Had we not replaced them (a significant effort for this older couple) the beautiful cabinet was likely to damage our hardwood floor.. Robert. Plymouth, MA. Wed Sep 09 2026
