Product Features. Woodstock Chimes The Original Musically Tuned Wind Chimes. Tuned to beautiful melodies and scales from around the world and available in a wide range of styles, songs, and sizes, you can choose the Woodstock Chime that speaks to your soul. How It All Began. More than 30 years ago, the first Woodstock Chime was created by Grammy award-winning musician Garry Krista from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympus, a 7th-century pentatonic scale that can't be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair chime tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympus was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our bestselling wind chimes. Garry and his wife Diane founded Woodstock Chimes in 1979 and it remains in New York's Hudson Valley.

When the wind blows, this wind chime plays the familiar notes of London's Big Ben, pealing out the glorious sound. This wind chime plays the famous tones of London's Big Ben, pealing out glorious sounds of celebration and spiritual richness. The unique sound of these long tubes is the result of the special way their brain perceives the vibrations from their ear known as the missing fundamental (when a sound's overtones suggest a frequency to their ear which the sound itself lacks). Their Westminster Wind Chime plays the same traditional and joyous melody as the Westminster quarters heard in the streets of central London for over 150 years. Pause a brief while with me, to hear. The chime which is floating sweet and clear. Above the city's rush and roar, as a wild bird's song by a lakelet's shore.

Absolutely beautiful sound. Very reminiscent of church bells. So peaceful and grounding to hear while sitting outside amongst nature.. Meredith. Plainfield, IL. Sat May 02 2026

The largest of the Gregorian Baritone Wind Chime has a deep and hypnotic tone. Experience the inner quiet that comes from listening to the peaceful patterns of Gregorian chant. Tuned to a medieval scale, this wind chime echoes the vocal music that has been sung as a part of daily devotionals and meditation in the monasteries and churches of Western Europe for more than a thousand years. Many believe this music to have remarkable healing powers. The sound is beautiful, relaxing and mysteriously compelling. Like the free-flowing monophonic lines of the chant, this wind chime's resonant tones will surround the listener as the sounds linger in the breeze. All of this Gregorian Chimes Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Soprano and the Little Gregorian harmonize beautifully together.

Beautiful wind chime, sounds gorgeous and very calming. I receive many compliments on it. It is very large- a stand out piece!. Anonymous. Thu Jul 23 2026

The Chimes of Neptune is designed and handcrafted for superior musical performance and is hand-tuned to a five-note scale found all over the world. It acts in concert with the wind to create random patterns of wonderful music and will work in perfect harmony with all other Encore Collection chimes right in your own back yard. Neptune’s distant blue-green world has a dynamic atmosphere and blustery weather. Temperatures drop to minus 400 degrees Fahrenheit and ferocious winds gust to 900 mph. Our Chimes of Neptune do not require gusting winds; they will play pleasing sounds with the gentlest breeze. This soft music may remind one of the celestial, all-women’s chorus at the end of Gustav Holst’s Neptune, The Mystic.

A favorite, tuned to the traditional scale of Balinese shadow puppet play. This chime gets its tuning from one of the brightest elements of the music of Bali, an exotic scale played by percussive gamelan orchestras. The warm winds and plentiful precipitation of the rainforest bring about lush, colorful plants and flowers. They don’t guarantee this beautiful-sounding wind chime will bring you rain, but they do guarantee it will bring you joy. This chime carries a lifetime tuning guarantee.

Exceeded my expectations. Great quality, including the chime.. Joyce. Cincinnati, OH. Fri Jun 12 2026

Must be heard! The special acoustic effect makes "2001" sound like a million! Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime features a musical phenomenon known as Octave Doubling. Here's how it works you remember the Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do scale from the Sound of Music? The "Do" notes at the start and end of this scale are the same note, an octave apart. Notes separated by an octave are considered harmonically equivalent and "ring" together in a way that adds a pleasing sound to the music. Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime takes this theory to the extreme each note of this wind chime is matched with its "octave double." Never before used in wind chimes, this special tuning creates a heightening of the harmonics, creating a song that must be heard to be believed. Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime is tuned to the intervals of the first notes of the famous symphonic poem, also spinach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss, more commonly known as the powerful musical opening to Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The chime-within-a-chime design couples notes in four octaves, exponentially increasing the soundscape and quadrupling the octave-doubling effect! A graceful design reminiscent of calligraphy, this gong captures the romance and splendor of the Far East. Inspired by traditional Asian design, their Emperor Series offers wonderful sound and is intended to reflect balance, harmony, grace, and beauty. Chinese instrument makers have made gongs for thousands of years and are deserving of their reputation of making the best in the world. Many processes go into creating the special sound of a Chinese Gong, including fine toning as a result of hand-hammering. In Buddhism, the gong is sounded at the start and end of each day. In Chinese temples, gongs are struck 108 times because it's believed that sentient beings have 108 types of worries. The teaching is this upon hearing the gong, worries will cease, and wisdom will grow. Nothing can transport them to another time and place quite like the brilliant resonance of a gong. For over a thousand years, gongs of various types have played an important role in both the religious and secular music of many Asian cultures. Gongs were sounded to chase away evil spirits, warn of invading armies, heal the sick, and invoke the spirits of the dead. To be touched by a gong was said to bring happiness and strength. Today, this revered instrument of warriors, emperors, princes, and priests adds a special aura to any setting. Handcrafted using traditional methods, this collection brings the ancient wonders of the Far East home.

Love the deeper sound it provides. Great addition to my japanese inspired garden bed. Joanne. Hampton, VA. Thu Aug 21 2025

The music made by Chimes is perfectly authentic because it's tuned to real scales and melodies heard throughout the world from ancient times to the present. The rich, pure sound quality comes from premium materials, expert design and fabrication methods and of course, precise tuning. The length of each tube is honed and the sound is checked using an electronic tuning system to ensure the note is correct and the sound is pure. Some call this precision tuned and some call it musically tuned.

Rated as the "best overall" in a review of chimes from the top five makers! The Bach Wind Chime is named for one of the music's greatest composers, Johann Sebastian Bach. This wind chime is tuned to the first chord of Bach's Prelude in C from the Well-Tempered Clavier Book I. The beautiful, uplifting tones pay tribute to a man whose music many consider to be the most influential in Western culture. Bach's music continues to enthral and influences musicians today, from minimalist composer Steve Reich to Wendy Carlos' 1968 Moog synthesized, Switched-On Bach. The Bach Wind Chime was chosen by The Wall Street Journal as best overall in a comparison of several wind chimes. Let their Bach Wind Chime turns your garden into a concert hall, and you'll appreciate the sweet music it plays for you.

This exotic-sounding wind chime is tuned to the scale of the gamelan degung. This deep sounding wind chime takes you to the volcanic South Pacific, where magical music is heard every day on the Indonesian island of Java. Tuned to the musical scale of the gamelan degung (suggested to them by the pioneer American composer and instrument builder, Lou Harrison), the Javanese orchestra's intrinsically beautiful music combines simple elements to produce intricate textures. This lush, shimmering sound captivated and inspired musicians from the West such as Claude Debussy and Erik Satie. In fact, Satie first heard a Javanese gamelan orchestra play at the Paris Exposition of 1889 and incorporated its hypnotic effects in his exotic work, Gnossienne. The Java Wind Chime will inspire and hypnotize you as you listen to its mysterious melodies.
