Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. OK, first of all let me just say we did have an issue with shipping. The first one arrived and it had a blemish on the top. It had been hit at some point during delivery, so we contacted Wayfair and they were more than happy to send us another table. So we returned that table and another table arrived about five days later and everything was great with it so Wayfair itself is great. FedEx probably needs to be a little more careful. Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. This is a nice kitchen table that easily expands from round to oval. It was a bit of a pain to put together with the extendable leaf, but I was able to do it by myself with no problem. The two sides of the circular top are carbon copies, so it looks a bit weird when the same "imperfection" is repeated in the exact same spot on the other side. Appears to be well made and good quality, fits my smaller space perfectly. The chairs are on the smaller side, but then it is a smaller table as well so they go together well.
