A very large and heavy piece. I had expected a bit more robustness to the hardware that was provided but it looks like the thin back panel does some of the structural support. That panel itself was a bit shoddy - 4 panels held together by tape. Also, definitely consider securing it to the wall if you are placing it on carpet because it will wobble. Note, this took quite some time for my spouse and I to put together and in the future I'd just hired Taskrabbit for 50 bucks to do it. I couldn’t have found a better shelf for the space I needed. We live in an old house that we are remodeling so needless to say our spaces are wonky. We have a space next to our safe and this shelf fits perfectly in width depth and height. My only complaint is that the backing was not aligned and I had to remove the tape that held it together to re-aligned it. It caused the piece to crack a little which is ok since this is hidden and for storage. Impressed with the hardware - all metal. And it comes with a magnetic screw driver! I bought three (3) of these shelves for my boys rooms. They arrived quickly and we’ll packaged. The directions were a bit hard to read. All in pictures, and easy enough, but direction of boards matter. We did have to undo a couple pieces in order to turn things around. The manufactured wood does get damaged easily, but if you don’t make mistakes, it’s all good. We assembled one shelf so far, took over an hour with 2 people, but we took our time once we realized how easy it was to make mistakes. Once assembled, I think it looks nice. We love its vertical orientation (it stands almost 77” tall) and mid-century modern aesthetic that is defined by crisp, clean lines. It’s made from solid and engineered wood, finished in two tones, and it stands on splayed legs. A lower 2-door cabinet is ideal for stashing clutter that would otherwise corrupt your space, while the 10 fixed shelves offer varying amounts of space for books and decor. We recommend installing a wall anchor (sold separately) for safety.

Took me, a relatively intelligent lady, probably 4 hours to build both at a casual pace, nothing too difficult. Needed a hand standing them up right, and husband attached the doors. Boxes weighed a ton so be careful. My only gripe is the doors on the bottom storage areas do not fill in the open space around them. If you had a light inside the closed area, you'd completely see it through big gaps around the doors. Its only noticeable if you're up close to them and thinking about it.
