Transolid ultra-low linear shower bases are the perfect choice to replace an old tub. They are to accommodate traditional tub sizes and the drain from the wall to line up with an existing tub drain. Made of numerous layers of transition, a sheet-molded compound material that is solid throughout the base and is supported by sturdy structural ribs underneath that radiate out from the drain opening. When combined with a thin-set mortar installation, this creates a flex-free, water-tight installation and a foundation that you can count on. The base features an ultra-low threshold that is just a smidgen wider to even accommodate popular farmhouse-style barn doors. The surface is scratch, impact, and slip-resistant with a beautiful slate finish for a minimalist look.

Looks nice. Arrived timely enough. Haven’t installed yet. But it seems like it will do the trick nicely. I like the design.. Herman. Dorset, VT. Tue Jul 14 2026

Looks to be a great product. Transolid needs to improve the packaging. Ours arrived with damage to one corner which fortunately will be hidden once installed and should present no problems in future. The texture which mimics stone, perhaps slate, is fantastic. Like most shower pans, this one gets set in mortar and promises to be quite "solid". Really looking forward to the finished bath.. Dale.
