These are made of real wood, however, one of my shelves required me to stain it in areas where the original stain job was not the best. I happen to have stain that matched so it wasn’t a big deal. They were easy to mount and they gave you plenty of screws and anchors. They are pretty sturdy but the holes that the pegs slide into could be a bit smaller Which would reduce the slight wobble. I only deed the 2 shelf bookcase. It was fairly easy to put together. The instructions were clear. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. It looks nice. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is particle board with a sort of paper veneer, almost like Contac paper.
