It's only 1 3/8 thick and pine, so you are getting what you pay for. I took it to a door shop to have the holes drilled for the lock sets, and for the hinges. This is a solid, sturdy door. It came well packaged and none of the glass was broken. The straight v-groove lines on the panel help to get attention and make this door a piece of artwork on your wall. It comes in raw wood and a coat of wax or stain would make this door look even better, adding protection to the wood to resist for the years to come. These doors were perfect. Packaged SO well and good quality. They are very heavy and feel solid. However the description says solid wood… they definitely are not. When I notched out the hinges it appeared to have an mdf core, at least where the hinges go. But that doesn’t bother me. They feel solid and heavy!
