Really solid door, paint finish is amazing, but it is not really very printable. It would need to be scuffed up well to take any paint, so when one side accidentally had trim applied to it and there were tiny nail holes after we removed the trim strip the painters were concerned about painting the whole door because the finish wouldn't be as good if they had to prep the whole door and eventually the paint-over could fail vs if we just kept most of the door untouched and just painted the one style to cover the small nail holes. Nice door! We added a white piece of wood for the top rail to mount on. Warning, door itself comes in multiple pieces that need to be put together. Luckily the hubby is handy. Not overly difficult but not expected. Also there is a thin protective film over entire door that needs removing. Nothing in instructions says to remove, but finish is MUCH nicer without it..
