Have one at work and I really like it for the design. The bottom drawer is a filing cabinet and you can lock it. Top two drawers are not lockable but I don’t mind because they just have writing utensils etc in them. Everything arrived in good condition and the color is nice. Not too fake looking. On thing to note though. As a women, the bottom drawer is a little hard to open and close with your hands. This is the second cabinet I have purchased and the design has not changed to make it any easier. I just solve that problem with using my foot to close it. This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. It's a good value. There were two of us putting it together and it took 1-1/2 hours to assemble it. The instructions could be clearer. If you stop and look at the picture at the back of the instruction booklet, it's easier to figure out what's what. All the screws, pieces, screwdriver and gloves were included. There was a small problem with a bowed side panel which caused both drawers on that side to not be flush when closed but it's not that obvious and still locks fine. The finish is nice.
