The cooktop works great, but I wanted induction. When I searched products by using the filters, this electric one was in the list. My fault for not double checking before I bought. The electric cooktop works great and heats food very quickly, but the surface is extremely hot, which is dangerously close to where my grandchildren sit at the counter. You will love the multiple sizes you can choose for the size pot or pan. It boils water fairly quickly. I like that you have to long press the buttons to turn on the elements so children wouldn’t accidentally turn on an element. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this cooktop before the holidays … we love it!!! It looks great and it is very easy to use. The LG ThinQ interface is very useful. The app was easy to configure. The induction cooktop heats up the food quickly as advertised. We had to buy some new cooking pans but it is worth it.
