These lamps exceeded our expectations! They arrived well packaged, and even though I had already cut the box open before taking pictures, everything inside was protected and arrived in perfect condition. Assembly couldn’t have been easier, it took less than 5 minutes to have both lamps completely set up. The shades fit nicely, and the instructions (though hardly needed) were clear and straightforward. The quality is impressive for the price. The bases have a substantial feel, the finish looks even better in person, and the linen shades give off a warm, inviting light. They look much more expensive than they actually are and fit our space perfectly. Overall, this was another great Wayfair purchase. The lamp arrived in great shape, with nothing to assemble or clean. It’s a weighty, pure black metal finish, like a lightweight cast iron but with more sheen. The base has felt to protect the tabletop. The lampshade isn’t included, so I will need to buy one - but for now, I am using my old lamp’s shade. I tried it with a 14” and a 17”, and I think they would both work well. It does come with a harp and finial, so you can use either standard lampshade type. The style of this lamp was exactly what I was looking for and the black lamp shade is a rich thick fabric that doesn’t allow a strange tone to shine through when the lamp is on, which was a big concern for me. So no blue or purple tones to ruin the look. I was a bit concerned when putting it together as the connection where the bulb base connects to the harp and to the top of the lamp itself was very wobbly and crooked. I unscrewed the entire area and it all tightened up perfectly. This may just be an issue with my lamp and not an overall issue but you should be aware before purchasing.
