This sofa was very easy to assemble. It took my husband about 15 minutes to assemble, with no tools needed. I especially chose that sofa for the height from the floor to top of seat cushions. It is easier to sit on and get up if you are an older person. The color is a marbleized deep red and is very neat and attractive. This sofa is probably not one you would want if you have small children bouncing on to the couch, and would not make a comfortable piece of furniture to lay on, but for people to sit on it is very comfy. It’s a nice couch and it is comfortable. It can seat about four average sized people close or three with plenty of space. The cushions came vacuum sealed So I was a little concerned about them fluffing into full looking cushions but I did not have a problem. I sat them in the sun for about 20 minutes and they look great! The cushions sit directly onto wooden slates that seem a little flimsy and are about a half inch thick so I wouldn’t flop down hard on them. The assembly was super easy and straightforward. There are no tools necessary, there are screws used but they have a twist type top so that you just hand tighten. My biggest issue is wth the back, it velcros to the arms but is loose everywhere else. Pros: I'm really pleased with the quality of the material. It feels very durable and looks pretty high end. Assembly was quick and fairly easy. Really clean looking, very comfortable, and large sized (we can fit 4 people on this when it's not reclining). The recliner lever lets the recliner up, but to close it, you have to force it closed with your legs. I like this because it seems like less stress on the reclining mechanism (whereas other recliners sound awful when you use the lever to close them). Cons: The armrests are tricky to get locked in. Some pieces had quality control issues - rust on the metal base/feet, some small tears, rough stitching and one spot completely missing stitching. Nothing so extreme or noticeable though, so I did keep them. The worst thing about this is that the three main pieces don't want to stay locked into one another; they keep popping out. It's tricky to line them up in the first place, then they just pop out of place when the recliner is moved up or down. I wish they made that connection easier or had a locking mechanism to keep it in place. It'll take separating the pieces and finagling with the feet height to hopefully help the alignment of the connections, but we got tired of messing with it. Also one odd tidbit - the middle piece shipped from a separate location (literally opposite ends of the country) than everything else, so timing of the deliveries won't be all the same.
