These counter stools are easy to assemble, sturdy, and complement my kitchen as well as adjacent living areas perfectly. I am an 80 senior and assembled my two stools myself. Putting the legs together (first step) was slightly tricky, but every step after went smoothly. The holes for screws are perfectly machined, nicely thought out assembly design. The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool. The chairs themselves are really nice. They have a unique, chic look. The green is more olive in real life, and it looks beautiful. The fabric is soft but seems durable, and the seat and backrest are comfy and plush. However, the assembly was wildly frustrating, to the point where I have to take off a star. The metal bracingfoot rests don’t line up well with the holes on the chair legs, and it took me 90 minutes to force the screws in. I ordered three of these, two as a pair and one individually. These stools are very nice quality and were not hard to put together. However, I made the mistake of ordering them based on the front seat width, which is 19.2 inches wide, instead of looking at the backrest measurement which is 22.4, or 3.2 wider. Unfortunately my counter is only abou 64 long and these counterstools exceed the width due to the very wide backrests. The backrests actually touch each other. So, the backs of the chairs make it tough to fit 3 of them at the counter, and the two on the end actually overhang the length of the counter by a couple inches. In other words, I have a 60 counter but the chairs take up 67 inches, so they are really too wide for my counter due solely to the backrests which are much wider than the seat or front of the stool. They are all put together, so I am not going to return them and they do look nice, but had I been aware of how wide they were I would not have ordered these as they are just too big. These are really sturdy. The legs are wood but they have two metal square pieces that support the legs. Seats are super comfortable.
