It’s nice. Quality is good not the greatest some parts came dented (wood and cage material) but overall good quality. Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. I decided to paint this cat cage the same color as my house and detached garage. It is so cute. I’m so happy with how it turned out aesthetically and the cats really love it too. I’ve been looking for one with kind of measurements and with some adjustments to the structure (for our needs and wants) this has been great. The instructions were pictures which I thought were a challenge, and a few pieces were cracked.. I used glue and packing tape for repair. But not with removing a star. I skipped the braces ( first steps so I could put it together in the house ) when my husband and I could assemble this outdoors I did end up replacing some of the upper parts with the same wire as the bottom. I purchased at tractor supply then replaced the two doors with just wire ( a good stapler is needed.) The big door at the bottom I added an extra lock so it gives me the access needed for “just in case” my cats would run in if I shake the treat jar. I got two pieces of strapping for the top to support the top by the roof and one for the center just for additional support. I am able to use power tools but I didn’t want to come up with the big design so honestly this is great! It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. This is a true sanctuary for feral cats backed by research and designed for the real essential survival needs of the Outdoor feral cat. The exterior is made of fir wood suitable for outdoor use. Very easy to assemble, one person can assemble it in half an hour.

My feral cat had kittens in this box about 4 months ago and has been sleeping in it at night ever since. She goes underneath to lay in the shade, and also sits on top of the house to get a view. It’s cute watching her teach her kitten how to use it. Whole thing is insulated in the interior and made of wood. The wood will start to split in the weather which hasn’t affected it structurally so far, but if you’re handy it would make sense to cover the exterior with a coat of poly.
