Just put it together today (by myself, mind you!), so I can’t speak to the quality long term, but it’s perfect for what I need right now. Took me an about 2 hours to put together - lining up the heavy top was a little bit of a struggle, but i got it after a few adjustments. It’s heavier duty partial board, but the coating on it seems like it’ll hold up well. I purchased this solid wood kitchen island through Wayfair Products Verified, and honestly I thought it was going to be a nightmare to assemble because of all the rails, drawers, and amount of pieces included. Surprisingly, it was actually pretty easy to put together. The pre-made holes were perfectly aligned and all the instructions were very clear. I had seen some reviews saying the assembly process was terrible, but that wasn’t my experience at all. I think this has been the biggest furniture project I’ve done because of the number of pieces, but overall the process was smooth and easy to follow. I’m definitely not disappointed with this purchase. My only concern is the back panel of the island since it feels super thin compared to the rest of the structure. This is a nice kitchen island once assembled. Very spacious and has good counter space. There are 5 wheels so it can be easily moved around. The instructions and assembly were not easy. The pictures of the boards were not exactly the same as the boards so holes were in slightly different spots making it difficult at times to decipher where a screw should be. There was one large piece that was not pre drilled correctly in one spot. The material is very soft so you’ll have to be gentle when screwing screws in or it will start cracking or breaking.. Amanda. This island is exactly what ive been looking for. Unlike many others I have seen this one has the bonus of being double sided so there is a lot of storage space. The drop leaves on each end make it perfect for narrower kitchens and it is a fairly easy build if you are experienced with building flat packs. The instructions say its a two person build but I did it by myself in about five hours, you just need to think outside the box when it comes to some of the more fiddly pieces.
