It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. Nice cabinet that feels a little smaller than expected. It includes white wooden knobs that I switched out with others to coordinate with another furniture piece. For reference, in my photo, the baskets are 16” D x 9” W x 6” H as positioned, to give an idea of what would fit on a shelf. I'm a 67 yr. old petite woman and I just finished assembling this cabinet by myself, using only a screwdriver and it took me about 3 hours. It's very well made, instructions are easy to follow, but I did see the complaints about the difficulty with the doors, but I did not have a problem with the doors. Be aware that if your TV is 55" like in the photo, once you position it on the cabinet the TV legs will hang off either the front or back of the cabinet. These were really simple to put together and when they were, they made great storage for our DVD’s, gaming consoles and photo albums. I am very pleased with the TV stand. It is very attractive and perfect for my guest bedroom. I was surprised at how solid it is! However, I did find assembly definitely took 2 people and we had quite a time getting the drawer in once we assembled it. After looking for an assembly video (no luck), I read through the reviews and found one that mentioned the drawer slide was installed backwards. Sure enough, that was our issue!
