This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan. I liked the light until I put a up another light fixture where the crystal had more prism in it and decided I need to go with a fixture of lighting to be more prismatic in that space so for that reason I will be returning this fixture . I thought the black shades had yellow metal inside, but they are fully black. This actually turned to advantage as they reflect any color light bulb you put inside.
