This is better for a new installation versus a replacement simply because the spacing has to be exact for the mounting between the shower handle and the rain head mount. Unfortunately, I did not read the directions prior to selecting this item and it will not fit the holes in my current shower. The quality of the shower bar is fantastic. Was a little confusing hooking it up, had my buddy that’s an electrician come help. Put in a new 45 amp breaker and ran 8 AWG wire to a disconnect next to the sauna then ran wire from that to the control panel, then from there to the heating unit. Kicked right on after a little tinkering with the wires. If you’re not an electrician I’d advise you hire one because the DIY method sounds good but the videos online aren’t very informative. I had a sauna with a 110v hook up that just plugged in but got wrecked in a flood so I kept the old shell and hooked this one up. Used to take almost 2 hours to reach temp. This bad boy is 230° in 15-20 minutes. Amazing. Now I’ve got my ice bath sauna combo back in action. I also messaged them when I had an issue and they were quick to respond and handled it to over my satisfaction. The shower looks nice, it arrived faster than expected, but must be since it came from Miami and I live 2.5 hours away. The instructions need improvements, they are not very clear as to what to use to put it together and drill on the tile. The shower handle feels very cheap, they could have use better plastic. Enclosed is a cap that I did not know what to do with it and the tech support had to think about it too. Then they told me that they enclose it in all of the retrofit showers whether it is used or not. The shelve is attached with bolt that require a hex wrench, however it was not included, I have set of the wrench’s and I could not find that fit it after hustling I was finally able to tied it. Also the company should include better anchors and enclose at least one or two. I had to use stronger ones that I bought at HD. It is not hard to put it together once you find a way to do it.
