This 3 Drawer Mid-Century Modern Dresser is a nice eclectic addition to my guest room. The dresser is solid wood, and comes partly assembled (the drawer slides are already in place on the drawer and side pieces), making assembly go that much quicker. It did take my husband and myself about an hour and fifteen minutes to assemble this. We did use an electric drill/screwdriver for some of the steps, but you can assemble just using a screwdriver and a bit of muscle. One of the legs for the dresser did have a big scratch in it, but we just faced that part towards the inside/back so it does not show. The drawers go in a bit hard at first, but after they are in the slides and are opened/closed a few times, they go in smoothly. Overall, this is a solid piece of furniture and should hold up well for a long time. I am contemplating purchasing two more of these to use as bedside tables in my primary bedroom.. Kimi. I saw a lot of mixed reviews mentioning misaligned drawers and bad pre-drilled holes, but that wasnt my experience at all. While assembly was definitely time-consuming and tedious, it was pretty straightforward, and everything aligned perfectly for me. The kit does come with a Phillips head screwdriver, but like most pre-packed furniture tools, the handle isnt very comfortable. If you dont have a nicer screwdriver already, Id recommend getting one because your hand will hurt after driving so many screws. I used a cordless screwdriver, which made driving screws into the areas without pre-drilled holes a lot easier, though you could definitely manage without one. The color and dimensions are 100 accurate to the product description online. However, as other reviews have noted, the drawers are on the shallow side. More importantly, the drawer slides are set up so the drawers do not pull out all the way. There is a good 4 to 5 inches per drawer that stays inside the unit when fully opened. I think this is probably a safety feature to prevent tipping, and for my needs—storing clothing like sweatshirts and sweatpants—it really doesnt matter. That said, I would not recommend this unit if you want to store something like craft supplies, as reaching smaller items out of the back of the drawers would get annoying. The drawers do feel a little bit flimsy and loose when pulling them in and out, which is where its most obvious that this is a flat-pack piece of furniture. However, I was able to fit them together easily, they are perfectly aligned, and they stay on their tracks without any issues. The set of 2 Mid-Century Modern 3 drawer dressers/nightstands arrived well packed in two boxes. All the pieces and parts were well wrapped and marked for easy identification. The instructions were very straightforward and easy to follow to assemble the dressers. It took about an hour and 45 minutes to assemble the first one, and about and hour to assemble the second one. This is a very heavy dresser made of solid wood. The drawers are a bit hard to get closed all the way, you need to really push and almost force them closed. Otherwise the drawer fronts are not flush with the sides of the dresser. I am thinking of buying some knobs to put on the drawers for easier opening, but for now I will use the slight hollowed area on the lower edge for opening the drawers. I also like the built in outlet on the back of the dresser behind the top drawer. It makes it very convenient to plug in an iPad or Kindle and keep them inside the top drawer, leaving more space on the top. I chose this dresser because it had a larger surface area on top and I don't need to crowd things to make them fit. Now I can easily see my clock, charge my phone and watch, and have room for my eyeglasses holder and a book, and still have space. My husband now has more space on his side for his CPAP machine, phone and watch charger and glasses, and still has space left for anything else he'd like to keep out. He can now store all his CPAP supplies in the drawers instead of having them in a couple different areas in our bedroom and bathroom linen closet. Overall, this is a solid 4 stars.. Kimi.
