Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. This is a nice kitchen table that easily expands from round to oval. It was a bit of a pain to put together with the extendable leaf, but I was able to do it by myself with no problem. Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that.
