The packaging was simple and easy to open, which I appreciated right away. Unlike some boxed mattresses that practically explode the moment the plastic is cut, this one expands in a much calmer and safer way. It slowly drew in air and took about two hours to really look like a mattress, then continued settling overnight until it reached its full shape. Comfort wise, this mattress definitely lives up to its extra firm description. It has very little give, yet feels supportive rather than hard. The breathable foam construction also helps it feel comfortable through the night. I ordered the 12-inch mattress, and Ill admit I was a little hesitant when I first unboxed it because it was still expanding. However, after letting it sit for the full 48–72 hours, it fully expanded just as it was supposed to. As you can see in the picture with the bed frame, it looks great! My baby sleeps so well on it. And this crib mattress comes rolled up in a compact package. So make sure you take it out and let it puff up and take its full shape at least a few days before using it. This spring mattress has both supporting force and softness, and has good resilience. You can use it yourself or commercially. The bottom is non-slip and has four-corner elastic bands, which can be well fixed. The cover can be detached and washed, which is convenient for cleaning.
