The doors were extremely well packaged is such a way as to NOT add a lot of bulk but to protect the doors from the normal shipping damage that can occur. Wood blocking all around to protect edges, extra pad on corners, two layers of foam in front and back (already removed in the picture). High quality doors (as expected). Install is easy, but it's a two person job to get them perfect (one to lift & the other to adjust the height & gaps). They bring a costal feel to the room. First impression: Very nice workmanship, color and texture very nice, dimensions highly accurate and consistent. Unexpected: The wood is not painted but somehow shrink wrapped in a clever textured durable plastic wrap that completely fools the perception that it is anything but paint. Triming: Cutting the bottom to vertical size with a hand jigsaw is not a problem. That revealed the durable plastic wrap was actually not paint. I have no idea if painting the wrap would be ok or not. Fitment into the closet cutout: My closet frame was poorly constructed by the builder. The frame is taller on the right side than on the left, and neither vertical side is actually square. Both tops are skewed to the right relative to the footing, and the right side frame is taller than the left. This made it a real challenge to installation and left me with unappealing visual gaps. My options were rework the top left closet frame (big job, messy, drywall and mudding involved, painting afterwards) so I vetoed that idea, or take off the left doors and use a planing sander to bevel the doors to conform to the distorted frame (vetoed that idea because of tricky and only get once to get it right), or cosmetically hide the visual distortion by using a fascia treatment on the doors repurposing inexpensive plastic self-adhesive door sweeps and that worked easily and generally is quite appealing as a workable solution. Recommendation to the manufacturer: Review my photos to understand how my solution suggests you include accessory plastic fascias for cosmetic treatments when fitment to closet frames is difficult. Overall: I struggled a lot to get a good installation but attribute it to my closet framing poorly constructed. The end result looks and functions very nicely, especially after applying my door sweeps fascia treatments. I include a final after-treatment photo. Great quality. A bit tricky install. Remember that it hangs from the top and the bottom pins rest on the pivots. Here's an update from February 18th 2025. The hanging pivot screws will loosen over time causing the door to drop too low on the bottom hinge and ultimately fall off. If you're willing to tighten the screws every couple of months that shouldn't be an issue. More significantly is the discoloration of the Finish. You can see from the photographs that there's a slight gray cast it's blotchy. It feels slightly raised from the surface as well as though there is something under the Finish /plastic coating.
