I love this rug. It is a thick jute rug with pretty black details and black woven in it. I’m hoping the darker colors will hide food stains. Well since we’re using it in our dining room the size was perfect and it arrived within just a couple days. it had a slight smell when it arrived so I left it outside for a couple hours before bringing it inside, but nothing to noticeable. Great value - it was a bit bulkier than I expected. I am a bit concerned that we will Trip over it as we move around the kitchen. We did order a pad to put under it to keep it from sliding around too much. There are little tufts of jute sticking up here and there but that may just be how jute is. I always love anything made in India. Have several chindi rugs, but this one is rather thin. I was surprised. These are always handmade as far as I know. I’ve had mine for years. No shoes in the house, and spot clean them. Shake them to get the dust out. It is a beautiful rug. I used Scotch gard to protect it.
