The air in the house definitely retains smells for a shorter time. For me, that's good. I don't want the house smelling like bacon or onions all day. Impressed with the Bissell air280 unit that needs only one filter compared to the other unit (no longer available) that had two filters. This filter makes it easier to install and with its large size should clean the air efficiently. Hopefully this filter will last 6 months like the discontinued unit previously purchased.. Brenda.
