Sturdy door and nice quality - the weight of it makes it seem like a pricier door. It is solid but with the mdf outer- well let’s just say be careful your contractor doesn’t place it in a place with standing water. The good news is the swelling that occurs dries out but you have to let it sit for days. The other thing is the primer on it is super glossy and even after sanding isn’t the easiest to paint. This solid wood door is made from planted forest trees by FSC regulations, being an environmentally friendly product. For a great and smooth finish, MDF veneer is used on the faces with 3 coats of white primer so you can add the finish of your choice to offer a bit more protection to the wood to last for years to come. The tempered clear glass allows light to brighten your home, saving energy. This door is meant for interior use and has a trimming allowance of 1/4 in. on each side and 1 inch on the bottom. Please note that trimming will damage the finish or the primer, so any edge that was trimmed must be sealed or painted to protect it from moisture.
