22x17 Pergola

This outdoor gazebo will give you a place to not only shelter from the sun and rain, but also a private space where you can spend quality time with family and friends.

Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good. The worst thing is that the quality is bad, and it falls apart. Then, I have a pile of scrap metal in my backyard. So far, very pleased.. Dr. Frank Heresco. Corvallis, Oregon. Tue May 19 2026

We ordered the 14x28 Purpleleaf Gazebo. We were looking for an easy maintenance option as our prior one (much smaller) was cedar and always needed cleaned and re-stained. We are extremely happy with the quality and look of this gazebo. It is massive but exactly what we wanted- an outdoor living space protected from the elements! The instructions could use a lot of work. It doesn’t appear they actually built it themselves when writing them. They needed more actual written instructions and not just pictures. My husband is very handy so of course figured it all out but it took us both looking over the steps multiple times to be sure we were installing the correct pieces in the correct way. It is critical that you have a tall ladder- we have a little giant ladder and it was perfect. You also need a 2nd person on hand (that was me) as some things just can’t be done alone. We even had to use a ladder as a deadman because we needed a 3rd person when putting up the frame. outside frame.. Nicole. Hilliard, OH. Sun Jul 26 2026

Weather has permitted me from putting it together but will update photos as soon as I do. It came in three largelong boxes and one smaller box. The metal seems sturdy. Use doly to pit in back yard..opem the 1st and 2nd boxes...start with those make the base then open boxes 3 and 4 and put plastic end caps on metal ceiling shutters. Make sure you are putting them the correct way or else you will work twice. They should all face the same way and side just like the 1st and 2nd ones thst are controlled with the arm. Level your pergola and tape around the base foot, before you add the ceiling panels. Looks at alot of videos and put some moving blankets on floor to put panels on. You need 3 people minimum to lift the base together to insert the sides together. Seems sturdy and opens and closes nicely...looks great...adds shade and character to the yard.. Francisca. US. Integrated double-track curtains and netting offer added protection and privacy, making it a versatile addition to any outdoor setting.

I have nothing negative to say about this except that it is a foot shorter than most of the other pergola I was looking at. Its fine because none of us are 7 feet tall but the other ones are all around 8 feet tall like a ceiling. This ones only 7 feet tall. Other than that its very sturdy. My husband and I actually put it together by ourselves and we use the boys, our teenage sons, a couple times to help lift it and move it I would say overall it was pretty easy to put together just ted.
