This post was so easy to use. The holes were spaced just right for the companion mailbox and it was very easy to install with quick-setting concrete. For extra stability, I drove 3 rebar stakes into the ground, poured a bit of concrete over them, then placed the post snuggly over the stakes and added the remaining concrete. It's a great mailbox! Solid, tough and attractive! I added the Mail Boss Steel Post, it's a bit pricey but beautiful looking and heavy Guage steel that is powder coated! I put a 4 x 4 inside it for added length and strength! I used 2 bags of 50 lb cement, 2' into the ground, it is totally solid! This mailbox comes with the 4 bolts to mount the easy on slider base to the post but if placing on a wood post 4 x 4 just use some lag bolts, the base plate has numerous hole configurations! This mailbox slides right on the base plate, then put the 2 screws in the front and you're good to go! The 2 screws are totally inaccessible since they are inside the closed mailbox cover when locked. An fyi, I followed exactly the height instructions, but my mail person felt it was a bit low due to their new vehicles having higher window frames, so I added the height extension to make her happy! she loves it now!. All metal drop box with a professional-looking paint job. Powder coated flat black, and I found it to be a very sturdy box. I made a form and mixed up some Quikset then mounted it to the slab. I then riveted a few signs to the box. I absolutely LOVE IT !!! This parcel package drop box is still holding up to the Michigan weather with zero issues.
