I was on the fence about this protector before receiving. I have always used a mattress pad, but with my new mattress I was sleeping consistently hotter than usual. Well I called where I purchased my mattress and they explained most pads are made with fiber fill and that retains heat not allowing the mattress to breath. So I researched my mattress brand and got same answers. I found the Tempur Breeze protector to be the most mentioned. Yes the price did scare me I had just spent quite a bit on the mattress and now another 300. Well I did it and do not regret one minute. I sleep cooler and more comfortable. And yes it is water proof I tested it to see. We liked the mattress protector overall. I ordered them two one for my master queen bed and the other for my guest room bed. Overall the protector is really good and looks the same as it was shown in the image page. I tried pouring water and it got removed off easily without getting absorbed down the layer, which is what we would want for a waterproof for any accidental leakage!! We are using it now for since a week and were hoping we should have bought them earlier. It’s good in texture and I layer them with my fitted sheet and extra sheet on top of it!!
