Looks pretty good and was very easy to set up. Doesn’t come with batteries, that was a bit annoying. Reasons for not giving a 5 it’s not as smart as other trash cans I’ve used where if you open it and it senses that you’re still emptying something, it will stay open. This one just closes after the number of seconds, on top of your hands. You can keep it open but you have to push the Open thing and then it doesn’t close automatically, you have to push Close to close it. Have had this for about a month now and has been used heavily with 2-3 bags of trash a day with my large family. I researched for a good week every day looking at styles and comparing brands and then comparing prices and similar styles etc. I almost missed this one and was happy to find to find it since a lot of my hardware in the house are by this brand giving a true seamless look. The quality is fantastic and I’ve got zero complaints after a month of use. It’s very much a true fingerprint less style and the few times it’s looked like a blemish or print it’s quickly and easily wiped out looking brand new again. If you’re doing something that has you wanting an open top instead of a pedal it’s super easy to flip the top up into the lock/hold position to keep it open as well as when you change bags and just as easy to flip it back down. It’s sturdy, and so nice looking most everyone hasn’t recognized it to be a garbage can! I searched carefully for a trashcan that would both look good in the kitchen and be the right size for a small household (1- 2 people). This one is perfect. I chose platinum because I didn’t want it to be too shiny. It’s tall enough (26 inches) to hold a 13 gal., tall kitchen trash bag, but narrow enough (11.5 inch diameter) that I can still open my cabinets. (See photos.) The capacity is only 8 gallons, but if the bag has a drawstring, it’s easy to make a 13-gal. gal bag fit well. I absolutely love this garbage can! As you can see it looks so good in my kitchen. The beige matte color matches everything in my kitchen. Looks very modern and classy. I purchased one that is 8 gallons, it is big enough for just my husband and me. The garbage bag fits perfectly and is easy to place. The back of the garbage can has a handle on it which makes it easy to move around wherever you need it. It closes softly and will stay open by just pushing back on the top. It’s weird to say this, but we love this garbage can! It has also been fascinating for our guests. People get excited to throw things away. The controls take a little getting used to, but once you figure it out, it is easy to use and the garbage can stays clean because you’re not touching it with dirty hands.
