Every DreamSleep density pillow shell is constructed out of 200 thread-count kinds of cotton and is filled with 100% Slumbersoft hypo-allergenic polyester fill. A gusseted custom color quilted sidewall was engineered into the pillow to provide extra support and reinforced corded edges are added to hold it all together and eliminate breakdown. Choose the medium density with a green 1-inch sidewall and 29 ounces of fill if you are a stomach sleeper, the blue firm density with a 1. 5-inch sidewall and 32 ounces of fill are for back sleepers, and purple extra firm density with a 2-inch sidewall and 34 ounces of fill is for side sleepers. I love this pair of apple green pillows with pom-pom edge! The order arrived fairly quickly and was well packaged. The inserts were vacuum packed. I followed the instructions to put them in the dryer on high for 10 minutes to re-fluff them and that did exactly what it was supposed to. They are full and fluffy with some firmness. The fabric is smooth and soft to the touch, not shiny. The zipper is well hidden and fairly easy to open. The instructions on the pillow cases were to wash first and tumble dry on low. I did so but lost a pom-pom in the wash cycle and some of the others look a bit compromised. I’m not happy about that because the pom-pom that was lost is actually on the top of the pillow so it is noticeable there are others that look like they are just hanging by a thread so I’m not sure about the longevity of the pom-poms, which is disappointing.. Pillow protector appears to be very well made. UPDATE: Washed for 1st time and found stitching on one case completely undone leaving a 3 inch hole that needs to be repaired. Seems completely airtight moisture resistant. Instructions stated to be sure pillow and protector are completely dry before zipper closed. This will prevent possibility of mold growth. Haven’t washed yet but it appears sturdy enough to resist the hot water washing that is recommended. I purchased these pillow protectors because the price was reasonable and they came in a four pack. They are waterproof, they have zippers and can easily be removed from pillows for washing.
