We’ll see how they hold up to sun the rest of summer. They do have that “made in China smell” but I’m sure that will dissipate quickly since they are outside. Can't say I love the result. Because I have to dump water from this mini pond I thought it may be easier than real rock (I'm 70), but these are heavy & I had to cut one down on back side. This is within my catio, this boy was born deaf. Also had to order two packs to get coverage, so have three more to place somewhere. They can be used in temperatures up to 60 down to -60 Celsius. Installation: Measure size in advance, leaving a margin. Excess parts can be trimmed with a wallpaper knife or another tool to trim the edges. Please do not use petroleum-based solvents such as gasoline, engine oil, thinners, etc. When cleaning, no glues containing volatile solvents when installing. Be sure the ground is solid and flat before installing. The loose ground may cause unevenness in the future. The surface layer of the mat is made of black rubber granules and dyed pigments. The color will fade over time with use, depending on the amount of exposure to the UV of the sun, wear, and rain. Friction will also cause some fading. This is to be expected.
