This gazebo is nice once completed. We were stuck at the beginning with the 4 roof corner poles. The entire screw and holder for the screws came out of the poles. After searching and researching for over a month, I decided to go with a Purple Leaf 12x18 Hardtop Gazebo. I had two friends who are contractors by trade install the gazebo. It took them approx 10 hours. They stated even with 7 boxes this gazebo was the easiest, nicest and best well made gazebo they have installed. The gazebo looks high class so worth the money. I did notice a few scratches in the pillars once the boxes were open, since they were near the ground, I figured it was fine. Miy order was place Thursday, July 3 and I received all 7 boxes on Tuesday, July 8. Overall, I love my new outdoor space and I can not wait to add to it. I just wish Purple Leaf made more accessories to fit the gazebo. For instance, a permanent privacy wall, other designs of temporary privacy walls, tv mounts, bar counter to connect to a pillar, heaters, and or different types of curtain walls.. Susan. My son, who is an architectural engineer had no trouble putting together this gazebo for my 60th birthday, he was impressed with the craftsmenship, the only downside was the size of delivery, I was forced to have the 18 wheeler back over my grass lawn and drop the pallets since they could only be dropgate delivery.. the neighborhood, strangers and passerby’s have inquired about this product so it may produce more sales...next twinkle lights, flower bed and a chime and picture will be complete..happy birthday to me!. Absolutely stunning! The only complaint we have is the assembly. The roof was very difficult to put together and I highly recommend having at least four people to help. There were only two of us and it took 20 hours in two days. The tools provided were an Allen wrench and another tool to hold the bolts. Now that this item is up and fully built – it looks amazing! The process to get there was extremely difficult. You require at least three people to build and put together, I suggest you watch YouTube videos before attempting to build, the manual is not descriptive enough and photos are not large enough to no modem if you’re building correctly. Feedback is that it should provide way more tips/tricks for the building process, information, and clearer steps on how to build. When my pergola was delivered a frame piece was damaged and it took over two weeks to get the replacement piece. Some pieces were mislabeled and had the wrong sticker on them and for the life of me I could not figure out how to install multiple pieces of the pergola. I had to call Wayfair 3 to 4 times in order to get the piece after the wrong replacement box was shipped. Garage is first come first server, so needed a carport to protect whoever loses for the day. I was looking into another model from Sunjoy sold through a large box store, but after looking at their other products decided on Autocove due to more head room at the entrance due to the angled front rafter. The other model went straight across. My driveway pad angles down in 2 directions, so I had to DIY footers to make It level. Used 12” concrete form tubes, QK5000, 4 little vertical rebar in each piling drilled into exiting pad, and concrete2concretre bond agent. Used Laser level from highest point to know how tall each needed to be. Added 1x6 black stained slats which are NOT part of the product. Also used different 6x6 base mounts that only needed 1 big 5/8 hole drilled into concrete instead of 4 each pillar. The hardest part of my overall project was drilling the holes into existing concrete. You will be over installing bolts by the time you are done, but straight forward. The other reviewer’s video showing assembly (slowed way down!) was very helpful. Great Carport for the price and not hard to do.
