Easy to put together. Lighter weight than I thought so it moves around easily … sometimes a good thing sometimes not such a good thing. Yes 4 people can sit and eat with plates and beverages and a salt shaker in the center but everyone is sitting close enough to see the pores in each other’s faces. No room for serving dishes so we eat buffet style. Not a problem for two or even three at the table. The “cracks” in the table top that simulate wood slats are just food crumb collectors so cleaning means getting a potato brush or toothpick to scrape them out when you wipe it off … best to use a table cloth. Absolutely love it. So much nicer than I was expecting. Heavy duty, does not look or feel cheap. Took a couple hours to put together, but I completely glossed over the part of the instructions when it said to only screw some of the screws in by 80%. Make sure to follow that part - you need to be able to have a little give in order to get some of the other pieces into place correctly. I ordered two of these tables for the hi-fi stereo components in my music studio. Both tables took about 45 minutes to assemble, but these days I am slow and meticulous about putting furniture together. I've bought a lot of "put together" furniture from Wayfair over the years. In order to make things go a bit faster and save my fingers and hands, a few years back I invested in a hex bit set from one of the big box home improvement stores. Once everything is lined up and the screws/bolts are started and all the parts are loosely in place, I tighten them up with my drill driver with the torque setting on a low setting like 2 or 3. The tables look okay, although the seem to have a bit of an industrial quality to them. They are functional, but not very pretty. They work for me and you can see in the photos I've included. The reason I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars is the packaging. Everything seems to fall out as you pull out the large pieces. We love this table! We were a little apprehensive to buy it since there weren’t a ton of reviews and only one other picture, but we’re so glad we did. It is very sturdy and wasn’t too difficult to put together. It looks great. I love the smooth wood material, and it is very easy to clean. I like the color of it—there aren’t a ton of tables out there that are wood and have the natural wood features without being the classic chestnut/oak color or a darker wood color—this light colored wood helps brighten up our apartment. It’s also a nice size, and you can fit two chairs next to each other on the same side (or have 4 chairs with one on each side if you want). We highly recommend this table!
