We first bought another shower base for basically the same amount of money. When it arrived, there was no way we could have the contractor install it. The supporting ribs were visible and there were other manufacturing flaws. The company we bought it for basically said tough. So we found this one and order it. Wow what a difference! Luxury shower surrounds at an affordable price for the DIY enthusiast in pre-cut kits for common shower wall sizes. These panels are lightweight, easy to carry, cut, and fabricate. Cutting can be done with a skilled saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, etc. To fabricate you can use a Dremel tool, miter, etc. We suggest using Locktite Power Grab adhesive or Boss 125 adhesive to adhere panels to the walls but compatibility to the other substrates might need testing. We suggest applying the adhesive to the panel and applying circle blobs of caulking about 6”-8” apart throughout the sheet. We also suggest applying 100% silicone, about a ¼” thick continuous silicone bead all the way around the panel about ½” from the edge to ensure a good edge seal and prevent moisture or debris from getting behind the panel.
