I love the quality - it's very hard now to find cotton bathmats that don't have rubber on the back - although I wish both sides were knotted. One side is tufted, which gets smashed down when wet. Apparently, that's supposed to be the "right" side and my other complaint is that the labels were sewn into the edge of the knotted side, which I use most often. The U-shaped mat does not fit properly around the base of the toilet. Both the square mat and the U-shaped mat are rather thin and flimsy. I like the fact that they are easily washable, so I'll keep them since I need something and have nothing else as I look for some that are better. Perhaps I can alter the U-shaped one by cutting and sewing a new edge to make it fit. You can see in the photo how the edges lift up around the base of the toilet. I just wanted a cheap little set of rugs that would wash up quickly when needed in our often-used half bath just off the garage entrance. They wash like a dream and have held up fabulously. Couldn't ask for anything better. Not plush, just basic, but do the trick. I have them on top of a Tumble washable rug just to keep it clean longer.
