I love the quality - it's very hard now to find cotton bathmats that don't have rubber on the back - although I wish both sides were knotted. One side is tufted, which gets smashed down when wet. Apparently, that's supposed to be the "right" side and my other complaint is that the labels were sewn into the edge of the knotted side, which I use most often. The rug arrives folded and will require some work to get it looking good. As far as color and quality, it looked as pictured and appears to be well made. A good shake reveals lots of lint, so I placed it in my dryer on the “air fluff” setting for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the rug began to come alive. Clean out your air filter, it will be loaded with lint. Hang it over a door or railing. Fill an empty spray bottle with water and lightly spritz the rug. The weight of the rug and water will remove all the creases. Also brush the fibers with your fingers to fluff up the flattened fibers. Once it dried, I spritzed it did it again and followed up with another 30 minutes in the drier on “air fluff”, now the rug looks amazing. I hung it over the door, overnight. All cotton rugs are difficult to find and very expensive, however my son insisted on natural fabrics (only) in his bathroom. I found these at a much better price than most stores and was very pleased, but I’ve had them now for a couple of months and they look much older than they are. The U-shaped mat does not fit properly around the base of the toilet. Both the square mat and the U-shaped mat are rather thin and flimsy. I like the fact that they are easily washable, so I'll keep them since I need something and have nothing else as I look for some that are better. Perhaps I can alter the U-shaped one by cutting and sewing a new edge to make it fit. You can see in the photo how the edges lift up around the base of the toilet.
