Just slide the inner rod or disassemble the rod section as needed. Before purchasing, please measure the entire window frame (not just the glass). The length of the curtain rod should be 4 to 12 inches longer than the size of the window frame. This extra length (referred to as the "overlapping part") enables the curtains to be neatly stacked on both sides when opened. For a 36-inch window, please choose a curtain rod that is 40 to 48 inches long.

The curtin rod has a nice detailed knob and comes wit it is easy to adjust and is thick to hold heavier curtin it has erything you need to install it. Three brackets keep it steady and secure.
