Pardon the mess. I just put together a shoe cabinet before I decided to add reviews. The tape works! I only used about 2.5 inches on each corner. The rug is flat and stays in place when we open the door. I needed something thin enough to hold it in place but not get stuck on the door whenever it was opened and closed. After H**e D***t sent me an empty parcel that was supposed to have my threshold and couldn't send me a replacement in time for install, this was the next best thing. The color doesn't match exactly with my vinyl flooring, but it's close enough under the circumstances. Much better than what was there before.
